Suddenly, my game won’t launch. It launched perfectly fine the last time I played (3 days ago). I have tried:
- deleted the .cache files (all four of them)
- attempted to load with all my downloads extracted
- cleared my temp files etc
- launching from the C:/Program Files file, not a shortcut (which I usually do anyway).
I don’t get an error message of any kind, my computer goes through all the motions and it simply “exhales” and then does nothing, where the screen would usually go black for a moment and then the Sims 2 screen would start loading.
Body Shop loads without issue.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Edit: there may have been an aborted load, where the game was using up all the files but wasn’t actually loading, so the computer was shut down. Perhaps there’s just a buggy file sitting somewhere that’s interrupting the load?
